Greg “The Bull” Luzinski

Greg “The Bull” Luzinski
Flyers Ambassador of Hockey

Flyers Left Wing
1970-71 through 1979-80

Greg “The Bull” Luzinski was one of the great sluggers of the 1970s and 1980s. Drafted in the first round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1968 amateur draft, he played for the Phillies from 1970 to 1980, and the Chicago White Sox from 1981 to 1984.

"The Bull" was second in the MVP voting in 1975 and 1977, and played on the World Series champs in 1980. A native Chicagoan, he was a team leader on the division-winning 1983 White Sox. A four-time All-Star, Luzinski hit 307 career home runs, with seven seasons hitting at least 20 homers and four seasons hitting at least 30 homers.

Lusinski is still involved with the Phillies organization today as the owner of “The Bull’s BBQ Sauce” which is now available both at Citizen’s Bank Park and in over 100 stores in the Philadelphia area and South Jersey.
